The passion that unites them …

Sylvain et Laurence Humbert


Sylvain is a native of this region … his childhood was nourished by the good dishes that his mother and his grandmother (both Provençal too) made. He soon became interested in cooking and began to learn his trade; he progressed in starred restaurants in the south of France until he met his future wife Laurence who followed the footsteps of her father and grand-father both well-known restaurateurs in Lyon.

Together, they went to broaden horizons and had nice experiences (Lyon, England, Beaujolais), before coming back to Sylvain’ s roots because he was missing his Mediterranean land. They went on their professional experience each one in different nice restaurants in the Gulf of Saint Tropez. In the meantime, they got married and were blessed with three children ….




For some years now, the will of settling and being together has brought Sylvain back to his origins and to his four generations family. As a matter of fact, his great-grandfather was a postman in Gassin, and the village elders still remember his mother sitting on the ramparts …

Today, they have taken over this pleasant establishment with a great pleasure. Sylvain offers a good and beautiful Mediterranean cuisine based on fresh and local products and Laurence welcomes and ensures their guests’ wellness and comfort.
